Walkergate Health Centre is a project that JJB have been involved in since the initial feasibility study in 2008. The scheme is to develop a vacant area of land on the existing Walkergate Hospital site in Newcastle and build a two storey health centre providing additional health care facilities to the local community. The build will have to achieve a BREEAM 'excellent' rating, A+ rated materials have been specified and insulation levels are maximised to help achieve the rating along with the use of ground source heat pumps to heat the building.
