The government is promoting a programme of Surestart children's centres. These are in areas of deprevation and consist of a nursery for children aged between 0-4 with community facilities and computer training. We have been involved with four projects for Lancashire County Council.

Alteration to the existing stone 1850’s work house to provide a new entrance, upgrade all building services, upgrade offices, and create a learning centre with teaching and seminar spaces.  The new reception extension retained the existing stone entrance portal under a new glazed half dome providing a way into and through the existing building.
