The Eco-Lodge forms part of the current development plan at the Holmfirth Vineyard. The purpose of the building is to provide living accommodation for people coming to the Vineyard over the course of the harvest to assist in the vine picking. Since the scheme is in the green belt, the environmental impact needs to be minimal which is achieved by proposing to build into the land. The Local Authority have requested that the building also comply with the Code for Sustainable Homes and meet a Code 6 Credential which is the highest in the current guidelines.
